What is Chatbuddy?

Chatbuddy is an AI powered entertainment company and an artistic enterprise. We provide our users with a subscription-based AI chatbot platform. We believe that who you talk to matters, and our central thesis is that when technology and art collide, magic happens.

What are the use cases for Chatbuddy?

Chatbuddy’s primary use cases are online companionship, non-linear storytelling, and information sharing.

Some of Chatbuddy’s bots have specialized knowledge domains and are presented as “Agents” on a separate platform tab. Examples include the following:

  1. ALADDIN – can assist with travel planning and exploration activities. Aladdin is currently unable to make travel bookings for users.

  2. MARILYN – can provide users with general advice related to relationships, romance and sexual health. Marilyn cannot provide medical diagnoses, cannot prescribe behind-the-counter medications, and should not be regarded as a doctor or psychologist by users.

  3. GENIE – can assist with online shopping research and gift ideas. Genie is currently unable to make online purchases for users.

Does Chatbuddy have territory restrictions?

Chatbuddy is currently not intended for use by individuals who are resident in, or traveling through, the following territories: 1) The United Kingdom; 2) Switzerland; 3) the European Union; 4) OFAC sanctioned countries; 5) California; 6) Indiana; 7) Washington State; 8) Hawaii; 9) Nebraska; 10) Oklahoma and 11) South Dakota.

Our Terms of Service reference these territory restrictions. To enforce these restrictions, we leverage technology to try and prevent users from subscribing to our service using payment mechanisms that have associated addresses in restricted territories.

Does Chatbuddy have other usage restrictions?

Subscribers must NOT use the Chatbuddy Service to:

  • Solicit financial advice.

  • Solicit legal advice.

  • Solicit advice surrounding the use of and access to drugs.

  • Solicit medical diagnoses.

  • Solicit advice on how to deal with suicidal thoughts and/or depression.

  • Solicit or share pornographic images or video footage.

  • Solicit or share images or footage depicting violence and cruelty.

  • Solicit or share any images of children under the age of 18.

  • Solicit information about weapons, poisons and explosive devices.

  • Engage in spamming or scamming efforts.

  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

  • Plan and/or execute illegal actions.

Subscribers who are experiencing suicidal thoughts should avoid engaging with chatbot technology and should seek treatment and assistance from licensed medical professionals in their home country.

Subscribers who suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder (“OCD”) should avoid engaging with chatbot technology.

How much does Chatbuddy cost?

Chatbuddy currently offers two plans.

CHIT CHAT PLAN: Chatbuddy charges a standard subscription fee of US $9.99 per month for access to this service. This monthly fee provides you with 1,000 prepaid interaction credits that are consumed as you text or speak with the bots on the service platform. Unused interaction credits do not roll over at the end of your monthly membership billing cycle.

BIG TALKER PLAN: Chatbuddy charges a standard subscription fee of US $19.99 per month for access to this service. This monthly fee provides you with 2,000 prepaid interaction credits that are consumed as you text or speak with the bots on the service platform. Unused interaction credits do not roll over at the end of your monthly membership billing cycle.

In addition to the standard monthly membership fee, the Chit Chat and Big Talker Plans incorporate a prepaid “Pay-As-You-Go” billing model. You will be notified by email when you have consumed 80% of your prepaid interaction credits. Once you have consumed all of your prepaid interaction credits, you can purchase an additional 1,000 interaction credits for US$ 9.99. Pay-As-You-Go credits do not expire. Your usage of the platform will determine how often your Payment Method is charged.

Other Relevant Information:

  • Membership fees and Pay-As-You-Go fees are fully earned by Chatbuddy upon payment and are not refundable.

  • You may view your billing history by visiting your “Account Settings” page within the service platform.

  • You may view your prepaid interaction credits utilization by visiting your “Account Settings” page within the service platform.

What are the podcast shows available on the Chatbuddy platform?

The podcast series on the Chatbuddy platform feature AI renditions of major historical icons and fictional characters discussing contemporary issues. Subjects covered include global politics, current affairs, royalty, romance, food, fashion, movies, music, literature and sports.

How can users access and interact with the Chatbuddy platform?

Access is currently available via the Chatbuddy website once your subscription fee has been paid. The Chatbuddy website is accessible on computers, tablets and smartphones.

Users need a robust internet connection for an optimal engagement experience. Subscribers should use Chrome where possible.

Microphone performance issues may be encountered by subscribers using Edge, Safari and Firefox browsers.

How do I cancel?

Chatbuddy is flexible. Cancel at any time within your "Account Settings" page.

Will Chatbuddy’s software be abusive, racist or factually incorrect?

The Chatbuddy platform is not intended to be politically correct, and is not designed to provide medical, financial or legal advice. AI responses may occasionally express incorrect information or offensive or biased comments.

Are children allowed to use Chatbuddy?

Chatbuddy accounts can only be created by adults over the age of 18 with a suitable payment mechanism in their name such as a credit card. Children under 18 should ask for parental consent before using the platform. Parents who allow their children to use the platform accept full and unconditional responsibility for the consequences of such usage.

What do you do with user data and information?

The data and information we collect is used to:

  • Personalize and improve the Chatbuddy service.

  • Conduct research and development.

  • Provide measurement, analytics and other business services.

  • Combat harmful conduct and detect and prevent spam.

  • Communicate with users where necessary.

We reserve the right to share user data and information with the following parties:

  • Vendors and service providers who support our operations through the provision of technical infrastructure, or who assist with data analysis and user surveys.

  • Law enforcement agencies who make requests via formal legal mechanisms.
